I am an award-winning freelance historian and editor with a PhD in History. I specialise in uncovering and sharing stories of historically underrepresented voices.

A significant portion of my work is with the prestigious Victoria County History project, a 125-year-old project overseen by the University of London, where I contribute to detailed place-based historical research across multiple counties. I also serve work for an academic journal and history publisher, balancing several concurrent projects that span both academic and public history.

My approach to historical research often focuses on revealing the authentic experiences of women, LGBTQ+ individuals, and working-class people—voices traditionally overlooked in historical narratives. My latest book, published in 2024, exemplifies this methodology, earning praise for uncovering "real lives and a changing community with a degree of granularity that bigger histories often overlook."

My research has also led to the discovery of the first recorded convicted English 'witch' and the true identity of the legendary Wiltshire Woman, Maud Heath, both which garnered national media attention.

As a historian, I bridge the gap between rigorous academic research and accessible public history. My work is based on primary sources and nuanced research, but it is not dull.
